The Date Guy says you’ll never find love in the club

Graham knows a lot about dating, but not everything. There are plenty of other love and date gurus around and in the interest of sharing, we thought we’d introduce you to some.

Today’s nugget of wisdom from ‘The Date Guy’ is all about thinking outside of the London club scene

Don’t go to clubs for the sole purpose of meeting people

Okay, this isn’t so much about clubs but representative of a broader problem. A lot of people seem to go to clubs, not because they enjoy them, but because they think it is the easiest place to meet people. The same is true of things like salsa classes or similar where you have no interest in the venue or activity. The way to meet people who are like you is to hang out in the places you love being and then chat to the people who are already there.

Whatever you are into, there is a place in London where the people who like it too, hang out. So, if you would much rather read a book than dance, then hang out at the British Library not Pacha. If you would rather draw a picture than drink cocktails then spend your spare time outside, sketching things. The more you start doing the things you like doing the more you will expose yourself to people who are the same.
